My life has been a rollercoaster of good and horrible times. I have been a service receiver since the age of 13, experiencing both the positive and negative attitudes from society and the NHS. After many years of turmoil I am now able to accept my condition, and me. I want to positively shout and be a voice for those who have experienced any mental health episodes. 

 

As well as being a receiver of services myself I have been a supporter/carer for my Father for many years. My working background is project management within the public sector and from this I have gained many skills (some useful, others perhaps not so), which I hope to make use of where required as a Trustee. Being a Trustee for Derbyshire Voice is an opportunity to use my experiences in a positive way to help make a life better for others.
