About Me :

Hey, I’m Jonathan, I’ve been a trustee of Derbyshire Voice since May 2010, and in this time I’ve volunteered to help with the management and decision making of the charity at the monthly board meetings as well as other administrative duties. My occupation outside this is as a health care assistant with the Derbyshire Nurse Bank which along with working at Derbyshire voice I feel is time well spent in such rewarding vocations.

I like to spend most of my time out and about being busy with friends or other activities; I can’t stand to be stuck in the house board even if it’s cold and pouring with rain outside. I have a Yamaha R6 motorbike to keep the adrenaline circulating, and a lovely cat named Jimothy and a fish ironically named Felix.

I have a family member with a history of mental health, and am aware of some of the issues faced by service users receiving treatment. This is the reason I chose to join Derbyshire voice and fully believe in ‘working together to improve mental health services’ and that it can be done!
