About Me :

I am a service receiver representative for Derbyshire Voice. I attend a few Derbyshire Mental Health Services Trust meetings to bring a service user perspective. I have been a user of services myself since 1997, including six acute inpatient admissions. I see my role of informing the service user opinion relevant to the meetings I attend.

As a bi product this involvement has helped me personally maintain a level of recovery and stability. It has given me a sense of purpose in life and I have derived much personal satisfaction. It has helped me turn a negative, my mental illness, into something positive supporting and helping fellow suffers.
