About Me :

Hi, I’m Hilary I am 56 years old and part of the reading group. I first became mentally ill 5 years ago and although that is only a short time compared to others, it has been very intensive with several hospital admissions and sections.

I have the diagnosis of Rapid Cycling Bipolar. I am lucky to have a wonderful carer and supportive husband and caring grown up children, who like me have had a very traumatic 5 years.

In my previous life I was a senior sister running a paediatric unit, which I loved enormously.  I like to take my dog for a walk, keep fit, paint and draw and depending on my cycle, sleep or be manically busy!
