Arts & Crafts day at the RESOURCE CENTRE DAY HOSPITAL, London Road, Derby
Thursday October 13th from 10am to 3pm
A day of visual arts aimed at showing how creativity can aid recovery
Derby Adult Learning Service – Make some craft items to take home
Caron and Natalie – Jewellery making stalls – go on, have a go!
Andrea Grealy – More arts and crafts to try
Steph Carter – Create art using different materials
Rethink “Steps” – display of their artistic talents
Jo “Spice” Blackwood – A talented local poet reads her own work Readings at 12noon and 2pm. 15 minutes of listening pleasure.
Phil Binding – Creative writing fun. You don’t have to be literate! (Phil isn’t!) Half an hour of laughs at 11am and 1pm.
“Enabled Art” – Come and unlock your creativity, and see what the talented people at Enabled Art have made!
Spiral Arts – Come and do a creative weaving activity using ribbons, lace and plastic bags!
Ruth plays soothing melodies divine during the day
Exhibition area – see some completed works on display
“Talking Tapestry” – add your creative input to our high tech old bedsheet! It could be drawn, written, pinned on – it’s your own work!
Come along, have a go at something artistic, have fun and learn something. All are welcome, and it’s all free!
