Osmond House

11/11

“You get to meet new people and the staff are really helpful. The best thing about living here is learning to do things for myself.”

Osmond House has two shared houses for single adults who require mental health support.

We provide safe and secure accommodation with a free out-of-hours emergency phone service.

Our highly trained and experienced support staff are on-site five days a week.

What’s nearby?

Osmond House is situated within a 20 minute walk of the town centre and the train station.

The bustling high street of Normanton Road with its multicultural shops and eating places is a 10 minute walk away.

Derby has a range of facilities including:
Shops, cafés and restaurants
A library
Banks & a Post Office
A range of supermarkets
Leisure centres
Places of worship

The scheme is also on a bus route.

Our scheme:

One house consists of seven individual rooms and our other house has four – both houses have a room on the ground floor.
Each room is fully furnished with a sink and both houses have a communal lounge, kitchen, bathroom, dining room, laundry-room, internet access and garden. The larger house has a walk-in shower.
When residents are ready to leave the scheme and live independently, we will help them to find suitable accommodation either through the local authority or in the private rented sector.

We provide temporary accommodation for up to two years.

Our dedicated resettlement worker supports residents before a move and up to six months afterwards to help them settle into their new homes.

Life in our scheme

At Osmond House we work closely with our clients to help them to develop the life skills and confidence they need to live independently in their own homes.

Each of our residents has their own key worker, who supports them throughout their journey.

We support people to develop the knowledge and experience they need to achieve their goals and make their own choices in life.
We work closely with local agencies to provide access to education, training and employment opportunities.
